Key Roles and responsibilities:

Architect:

• Design Structures: Creative, functional & practical designs that meets the needs of our clients and comply with regulations.
• Client Consultation: Always be presentable, respectful and well-mannered. Meeting with clients to understand project goals, budget, and vision and turning that into architectural plans.
• Project planning: Developing project execution plans with programs.
• Technical drawings: must be proficient with ArchiCAD.
• Regulatory compliance: Ensuring designs complies with local building codes, safety regulations etc.
• Collaboration: Coordinating with consultants & contractors throughout the construction process.
• Site Supervision: Visiting construction sites to ensure & measure quality, progress & compliance.
• Continuous Learning: Keep up to date with industry trends and norms.
• Conduct: ensure compliance with and comply with SACAP registration requirements & code of conduct.

Architectural Technologist:

• Technical Drawings: Develop sketch plans, local authority submission drawings & documents & detailed working drawings & specifications.
• Regulatory compliance: Ensuring drawings & specifications complies with local building codes, safety regulations etc.
• Collaboration: Coordinating with consultants & contractors throughout the construction process.
• Conceptual Development: Develop 3D renderings with Archicad & Lumion

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 2-years’ experience as an Architect / Architectural Technologist.
• Good understanding of local building codes & municipal processes.
• Drivers licence & be willing to visit sites.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational & administration skills.
