Being privileged to have worked in many different context especially disadvantaged communities, where we constantly learnt new things that shaped our spaces, and created vibrant environments for people to enjoy.
Speaker Bio:
Carin Smuts has worked with impoverished marginalised communities since 1982, beginning with migrant workers in Cradock during Apartheid. In 1989 she co-founded CS Studio Architects, for 40 years the practice has delivered public buildings across South Africa and Namibia, focused on inclusive, improved urban spaces.
