This talk explores the intersection of disaster management, urban resilience and technology innovation, highlighting how emerging digital solutions can enhance preparedness, response and sustainability in rapidly urbanising African cities.
This talk will lead with a technology demonstration from the Crisis Map used in the KZN Floods in 2022, which assisted just under 30,000. It will take a deep drive into how civic technology is charting the path for building resilience in Future African Cities.
