The central provocation of the talk questions whether architectural design studios in higher institutions are still achieving the graduate competencies in the age of artificial intelligence. In the discussions, AI is framed as a pedagogical challenge rather than simply a technological one.
Speaker bio:
Dr Judith Ojo-Aromokudu is an Architect and Housing specialist. She teaches in the discipline of Architecture, School of Engineering at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. The areas of interest are in Housing and urban informality, Socio-cultural expressions and architecture, and Architecture education.
